By Subway: Take the E or F train to the Union Turnpike station. When you exit, walk toward the staircase at the rear of the train. Once you reach the token booth, take the stairway to your left (toward the South Side of Queens Blvd.). As soon as you reach street level, turn right and walk to the end of the block (where Queens Boulevard intersects with Union Turnpike). Take a right onto Union Turnpike and walk to the second block. The Kew-Forest School occupies this entire block. Go to the second front door and press the buzzer.
By Car from East: Take the Grand Central Parkway and get off at the Queens Boulevard exit (#15). Stay to the left and immediately head toward the Union Turnpike underpass (the two left lanes where the road forks before Queens Blvd.). As you drive through the underpass, get into the right-hand lane. You will be driving up a small hill, and there will be a stone wall to your right. Slow down and make a hard right onto Austin Street at the end of the stone wall. The school is on the right. Because Austin Street is one way, you must drive past the school and turn right onto 77th Road. Take your next right, to go around the block. Take another right at 78th Avenue. Look for the school’s fenced-in play area, to your left. Follow the fence to the Visitor Parking Lot.
By Car from West: Take the Grand Central Parkway to the Queens Boulevard exit (#12). Stay on the service road until it ends (about six blocks). Traffic must turn right on 78th Avenue. Drive along 78th to Queens Boulevard, cross the Boulevard, and continue up 78th Avenue on the other side. On the second block, you’ll see the back of the school to your left. Follow the fence to the Visitor Parking Lot.
