My name is Edwin E. San Padro, grateful follower and servant of our Lord Jesus Christ, made new by His grace and mercy in 1986. Ana, Jason and I have been attending Grace Baptist Church for a year now. The Lord's leading to this church was providential and we are so blessed to call it home. We were married in October 2008 and was gifted by God with our son, Jason in September 2009. We migrated in the USA, NYC, Queens in September 2016 from the Philippines. It's not hard to be a christian in one of the worlds busiest and challlenging cities, it's impossible without the help of God's Holy Spirit. We were able to survive, thrive and blossom as followers of Christ in NYC.
Our family enjoys spending time together after work and during weekends and holidays. We spend time with church mates, friends, relatives and neighbors. We enjoy traveling, exploring new places to eat, serving the Lord wherever He places us, playing games both indoor and outdoor, sports, hiking, swimming, etc.
I was elected as one of the Deacons at Grace Baptist Church and we are so thankful for the opportunity that this allows for me to use my gifting. We happily serve at Grace Baptist Church in the Youth ministry,Kids Church, set-up/breakdown ministry, cleaning ministry, greeters and especially helping out during the fellowship meals.
As Deacon of Fellowship Meals we serve the church, and creat community, moving beyond just eating to foster deeper spiritual connection, mutual support, and outreach, with themes ranging from potlucks, birthdays to themed dinners, all centered around building Christ-like relationships and unity.
I also teach as a childrens leader assistant supervisor at Bible Study Fellowship(BSF). I teach the online class for both the middle school and high school students and we do book studies every year. My family and I also served in our former church doing short term missions in mostly the east coast states during the summer. I also was a former speaker at the Bowery Mission in downtown Manhattan at the men's shelter since 2019 up to March 2025.
My son is in junior high school at Richmond Hill High School, my wife is an RN at Queens Hospital and I'll be starting a new job this 2026 as a Para Professional in Forest Hills. We have been used by the Lord to encourage people God sends our way, the passion to help others discover the transformative power of God's Spirit by His grace and mercy.
Last, this is God's guidance for our family:
Proverbs 3:1-2
"My son, do not forget my law,
But let your heart keep my commands;
2 For length of days and long life
And peace they will add to you."
To God be the glory!
